Hardy mums in a variety of colours as well as potted Kale are a great way to spruce up outdoor planters in the fall months. For an added bonus, use curly willow or preserved pods to create an interesting focal point.

The Cool Breeze is Blowing In!

Nothing is cozier then a fall wedding with a gorgeous roaring fire. Between the candle light and the glow of the fire, an amazing warm ambiance was created for this intimate Muskoka Wedding.

Well we are honored to be participating in an event at the ROM this Saturday, called PROM Noir. It is a gala put on by the Young Patrons club and we are the florist of choice for the event.

Well it is the week before Valentine's and people are definitely coming in to pre-order, so the don't miss out on getting exactly what they want!

Some people ask us why our prices are higher then the grocery store, so I thought I would address that question in today's post.

1. They can buy in very large quantities because they are supplying their entire chain of in store flower shops, allowing them to get a very large price break for buying in such volume.

2. Their arrangements are done in an assembly line fashion, where 100's are made by one person, therefore taking the creativity and originality out of each individual piece and allowing them to hire untrained design staff. Whereas, in a flower shop you have trained floral designers who have a passion for creativity and flair for design.

3. Grocery stores like to provide a wide variety of service, where a flower shop offers a more specialized experience.

Well it is official, we are all geared up for Valentine's Day, the shop is in a sea of pink and red!

If you are looking for something a little non-traditional this holiday, why not try a vase of tulips or a few gerbera daisies wrapped in brown paper, something that is sure to please.
